About Candace

Hi, I’m Candace, the woman behind Home Candy Interiors. For as long as I can remember I’ve had an interest in all things visual and have always been a ‘creative type’. When we first became homeowners this blossomed into a passion for interiors. With a zeal for transforming old dated furniture in my own home, I then began taking on pieces for friends and not long after was a regular at The Seaside Market. I loved taking pieces that look beyond recovery and surprising people with how they could become beautiful again.

This love of home decor naturally flowed into the world of interiors. Wanting to develop, and hone, my eye for design I took the plunge and decided to become a mature student, gaining a diploma of Interior Design in 2018. I decided to dedicate myself to creating beautiful, yet functional, spaces. I love guiding people through the process so they can achieve the goal for their home that they can’t quite visualize themselves. I specialize in renovations and restorations having experience in transforming dated and poorly planned homes into effortless modern family living. But also love the excitement and blank canvas of a new build.

Your home should not only reflect your personality but make day to day living a breeze. Spatial planning is key when undertaking a renovation, your new space should be a reflection of your lifestyle. During the planning stages I’ll take time to ensure I understand your wants, and must haves for your project, and that I have a firm grasp on your personal style and ethos.

On the personal front I am a busy mum of two young girls Zoe and Quinn. I am actively involved in my community, as well as my husband’s business KiwispanNZ. If I’m not out for a power walk on the foreshore you’ll find me in the kitchen whipping up healthy treats for my family. As a mum of girls I started my business knowing that I needed to lead by example. I want to show them that no matter what they want to accomplish in the world, if they set their minds and hearts to it, they can achieve it!
