The icing on the cake

Are you happy with your homes layout and design but still unhappy with how it looks and feels? Maybe you’re in need of some styling help! If your furnishings are in need of a refresh but you’re unsure of where to look and what to buy then it’s time to reach out. Quality furnishings can be expensive, and what’s even more costly is buying something that isn’t quite right and replacing it again in a short while because you’re still unhappy. Let me take the hassle and confusion out of styling your home and help you feel confident to make the best choices for you.

Moving home can be both incredibly stressful and incredibly exciting. This family of five had long outgrown their tiny whare, so when they found this place with great bones and a much longed for window seat they knew she was theirs.

The only trouble was their new home was looking a little dated and didn’t reflect them at all. They also have this new second lounge and no furniture to put in it. As two busy working professionals who weren’t sure where to start or what to buy they got in touch so I could help them ensure their new home reflected them. Reaching out for help to style their new space before tackling much larger renos in the future ensured money was well spent as we were working towards a long term vision for their home.

Check out how a few simple changes made a world of different to this space!

These lovely homeowners had gotten 90% through their renovation and got stuck at the final hurdles. You can’t tell from these images but their benchtops have a real yellow tone to them so when it came to choosing tiles they were ripping their hair out… that’s when I got the call.

These before and after pics really demonstrate how the right choices can completely transform a space from boring to wow. By going navy with the tiles and adding a pattern to the island we were able to negate the yellow tones and bring some real personailty to this home. Click through to see the full before and after!

Small changes and additions can have a surprisingly big impact on your home. Sometimes it’s as simple as anchoring a space with a rug and adding a feature light and boom the room is transformed. But knowing which light and rug to purchase can be the overwhelming part.

These clients got me on board to help them when they moved into their new to them retro brick home. This place is filled with awesome architectural features like this ceiling detail and many others. We wanted to enhance these details not detract from them. Click through to see how we made some simple additions to transform this living room and their very awkwardly shaped dining space.

Sometimes when you’re unsure what to buy and just need some gentle guidance in the right direction. It can be so hard to visualize how different items will look together in your home. Will those chairs look okay with that coffee table? Which is more practical for your dining table and the number of people you like to entertain. Which rug goes best with your vibe?

Having someone pull together different options and put them on one page can really help you picture how those items will go together in your space - and help eliminate choices that aren’t right for the overall design style you’re trying to achieve.
